BIOGRAPHY

My Childhood Home, photograph on the left, and home town on photo below right.  I was born in Dohna, Germany (at that time, East Germany) 
and attended grade school there. That's the first day of school for me in the Photo on the right with the two cones. 

I showed an early interest in art, winning awards from grade school in Germany and in junior high school after being adopted and immigrated to the United States. 

Military Service
At the age of seventeen I joined the United States Marine Corps.  That's me on the left (Home on leave just finished Boot Camp) with my step-father in the middle and my brother on the right, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force.

That photograph on the left was taken in Copperas Cove Texas, November 1963 . I enlisted in the Marine Corps in Dallas Texas.

I served four years in the infantry including tours in Vietnam where I was wounded in combat action June of 1967, that's me on the right.

College Campus Life 

After completing my military obligation, I decided it was time to get an education,  and I enrolled at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, in a Fine Arts program, graduating in 1975.  That's me at the left working on a school assignment.

 My First Job in an Art Studio  During my last year in school I landed a trainee job as an illustrator-animator for PBS under the tutelage of Robert Stocking, a graduate of Chinouard Art Institute in Los Angeles, California. For the next ten years I worked as an illustrator, animator and draftsman , painting part time when time allowed. As the years went by, I won some awards for my artwork.  

Off to Europe
In 1989 I was offered a position as an artist for the entertainment industry in Germany where I spent the next nine years both painting and studying sculpting with the German sculptor, Ludwig Seibert.   In 2005 I decided to go back to school and study, I graduated from Warnborough College, Ireland in 2007 with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting.
